How open verse challenges work on NewFans. These rules apply to every open verse challenge on the platform.
The original artist who hosts the challenge chooses the winner based on the entries. NewFans does not judge, score, or decide the outcome. The artist does. There is no public vote and no random draw.
Prizes go to the winner (or winners) the artist selects. There is no shared cash pool, no entry fee, and no per-entry payout. Entering is free, and no one is paid simply for participating.
Every prize - a duet, repost, or shout-out; a featured clip; a VR livestream showcase invite; merch; or an MCPity gift code - is offered and delivered directly by the artist. NewFans does not hold, guarantee, or escrow prizes. An MCPity gift code, when offered, is revealed only to the winner after the artist selects them.
By entering, you confirm you have the rights to your recording and you grant the artist and NewFans permission to feature and remix that recording in connection with the challenge and its promotion. You keep ownership of your work.
The artist leaves a section of the track open. Record your verse over it, post it publicly on TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts, then paste the link on the challenge page and agree to the rights grant. The artist reviews entries and picks the winner. Entries can only be submitted while a challenge is live.
NewFans hosts the challenge, collects entries, and notifies the winner. NewFans takes no cut of any prize and does not process prize payments. The value flows directly from the artist to the winner.
